Museum-Estate "The Memorial complex of M.  Skobelev "
(the village  Zaborovo,  Novoderevenskiy district, Ryazanskiy region)

The memorial complex of the outstanding general and national hero of Bulgaria was opened during the celebration of the 160th anniversary of the birth Skobelev in September 28, 2003.
The memorial complex includes a renovated the Spasskuy Church, within which the parents and Skobelev himself were buried, the bronze bust of the general and the  museum of Skobelev.
The museum is located in a renovated building village school on the estate territory, which was built in 1881 on the money of M. Skobelev  for the local children.
There are the permanent expositions in the museum, located in two halls. They reflect the history of the estate, the ancestry of the family, the life and work of M. Skobele, the school's history.
The expositions of the 1-st hall displays the things from the estate, documents, photos, portraits and other subjects. There is exposition of the wards of  Skobelev (the moulages).
In 2008, in -the year of the 165th anniversary of the birth of M. Skobelev, the museum was renamed to the "Museum-Estate" The Memorial complex of M. Skobelev. " In the same year the  new exhibition in the second hall was opened: "The recognition of the merits of M. Skobelev before Russia and Bulgaria."
