Memorial plaques to Commanders of the Order of St. George  (Tatarstan, Chuvashia)

In 2003-2009 the members of the Military History Club "Vitayz’" participated in the action "The Echo of the Balkans will not shush”. The action was dedicated to their fellow countrymen - the heroes of Russian-Ottoman War of 1877 – 1878. The Crimean Infantry Regiment (№ 73) took part in the heroic defense of the fortress Bajazet.
In 1912, the commander of the infantry regiment asked the authorities of the Kazan province with  the request to establish the  commemorative plaques in the churches of the villages from which recruited soldiers, his fellow servicemen  – The Knights of St. George. The plaques have been installed. During the years of Soviet power they were destroyed.
The petition of the old commander, the response of the provincial government, the list of heroes, the dislocation villages that housed the plaques were stored in Kazan archive. The documents were found by A. Turkin,  the researcher of  the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan, the member of the club "Vitayz’".
In December 2007, at Sviayazhsk, at St. Ioanno-Predtechenskiy monastery the memorial plaque with the names of the four heroes Russian-Ottoman war was placed (I. Noghev, A. Mitrofanov, P. Nikolaev, F. Sevastiaynov).
In 2003, the  memorial plaque was installed in the church of the Roghdestva Bogoroditzi of village Shuran of the Laishevskiy region of the Republic of Tatarstan. On the blackboard was written: "Ignatiy Lavrent’ev, Timofey Terent’ev who were died in the war of 1877 -1878. For the Faith, for the Tsar and for the Fatherland. "
In 2003, the  memorial plaque was installed in the church of the Vozneseniay Gospodnay in the village  Komsomolskoe of the Republic of Chuvashiay (no photo).
