The monument to the 200-th anniversary of the Kuban Cossacks
(Besskorbnaya village, Novokubanskiy area, Krasnodarskiy Krai, 1896)

The monument to the 200-th anniversary of the Kuban Cossacks was established in September 9, 1896.
The monument was erected on the initiative of the Ataman V. Kokaeva, the  member of the Russian-Ottoman war of 1877 – 1878, the ethnic Ossetian. It was built on the voluntary donations of the Kuban Cossacks.
 Description of the monument:
On the stone pedestal, there is the cast iron column. It is decorated with the cannonball and the emblem of Russia. In the oval frames of cast iron, located on the sides of the world there are the inscriptions about the historical events, the leaders of  the Kuban Cossacks.
After the Civil War, he was overthrown from its pedestal, and for a long time the monument had been abandoned.
But during the World War II the monument was returned to the proper position. It was admired of the Marshal Zhukov.
This is the only monument of its kind in the Kuban region, which had been preserved to the present day. Yessentukskaya who were died in the battles of the Russian-Ottoman war of 1877 - 1878.
